On the Saturday before the five day program the one day CERTIFIED FIRE INVESTIGATION INSTRUCTOR (CFII) program will be offered.
To be eligible applicants must be a member of NAFI ($45.00 U.S.) and, pay an examination writing fee of ($75.00 U.S.). Attendees who have not attained CFEI status may take the CFII program before the main five day program. Upon completion of the two programs and passing both examinations, CFII and CFEI certifications will be bestowed.
TUITION FEE CFII - SAVE $50.00
Tuition is $450.00 Canadian (Includes GST).
A discount of $50.00 will be offered
to participants who pay their tuition in full

ONE DAY - INTRODUCTION TO MATHEMATICAL COMPUTER FIRE MODELLING
AS AN INVESTIGATIVE TOOL

Before the main five day program a one day COMPUTER FIRE MODELLING program will be offered. To be eligible applicants must be a member of NAFI ($45.00 U.S.).
The student participants will be introduced to the application and use of mathematical computer fire models as an investigative tool when investigating and analysing hostile fire incidents.
This introduction will provide the participant with a working knowledge of the history of mathematical computer fire modelling, their scientific foundation, their limitations and their potential applications in the investigation of hostile fires.
Demonstrations of the most commonly utilized mathematical computer fire models will
be conducted.
The introductory nature of this program will prepare the student participant to effectively apply mathematical computer fire modelling in their investigations and analyses. The program is not intended to be a hands-on training activity.
The student participants will receive all of the latest computer fire modelling software and manuals pertaining to their operation.
The sponsors of this program highly recommend that students bring their own lap-top computers.

The exam for CFEI designation will be offered on the afternoon of Friday, October 31, 2008. To be eligible, applicants must be a member of NAFI, meet the requirements of the NAFI's National Certification Board and pay an examination writing fee of ($75.00 U.S.). As most of the NAFI National Certification Board will be present, candidates can join NAFI, ($45.00 U.S.); pay the ($75.00 U.S.) examination writing fee and have their credentials examined to meet the requirements of the National Certification Board at the site.
THE BOARD RECOMMENDS CANDIDATES BRING A CURRENT COPY OF THEIR CURRICULUM VITAE.
The Board will accept payment by Visa and MasterCard.
